Made in Sauerland: Portal bundles factoy sales

Cheese dairies, farm shops, breweries and distilleries are also listed in the online summary

Whether designer porcelain from Marsberg, stockings from Schmallenberg, or pots, pans and electric appliances from Sundern and Neheim, in the Sauerland region, many well-known brands are sold not just at home, but also directly on site at trading and factory sales. A new website offers a compilation of the broad range of products offered by regional brand businesses. However, the portal also offers information about cheese dairies, farm shops, breweries and distilleries. The online shopping guide offers tips and dates and an interactive map, as well as opening times, road maps, product descriptions and a brief portrait of each producer.

The aim of the project is also to create new ideas for networking between the tourism industry and businesses. According to Dr. Jürgen Fischbach, head of marketing at Sauerland-Tourismus: “For us, the services provided by local companies and trades are an important aspect in establishing a strong ‘Sauerland brand’ for the region, both as an exciting place to visit but also as an attractive area to live”.
